Galpões Sto. Antonio Residency Program Notice
Call for Applications - 2019
Galpões Sto. Antonio is an artistic action and experience project set up in an eucalyptus farming and goat breeding farm close to Amparo (130 kilometers from São Paulo). The project’s facilities consist of a number of refurbished sheds with workspaces and equipment suitable for different art practices, as well as exhibition areas and residents’ quarters. In 2019, Galpões Santo Antonio enhances its mission of fostering art creation in a rural environment: its Galpões Sto Antonio Residency program starts hosting artists interested in producing artwork based on an immersion experience in the farm’s environment and daily life.
Galpões Sto. Antonio Residency 2019 offers residencies with duration of one to four weeks. in this first edition there will be seven artists selected through the program’s notice along with seven more artists invited to work during the month of october of 2019. the artists involved will be working in the fields of drawing, painting, sculpture, sewing, joinery, ceramics, or site-specific art. There are no restrictions of age or nationality. Applicants must submit their proposals by april 13, 2019.
